We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long\-Range Assault Aircraft \(FLRAA\) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift \(FVL\) modernization effort\. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High\-Speed Vertical Take\-Off and Landing \(HSVTOL\) program, a next generation stop\-fold tiltrotor\. This position is at a Fort Worth area site\.
Operations** **Support Team
This position leads the strategic alignment of process design, planning, and execution with Bell's innovation and production goals\. This role oversees a team of planning managers, driving cross\-functional collaboration, resource optimization, and the adoption of advanced technologies\. With a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement, the position ensures seamless integration of manufacturing workflows and achievement of key performance targets
What you’ll be doing as a Senior Manager, Planning
Develop and execute long\-term strategies for manufacturing process design, planning, and execution to ensure alignment with Bell’s innovation goals and production objectives\.
Lead and mentor the Manager of Part Process and four Managers of Planning, ensuring their teams are equipped to deliver on tactical day\-to\-day operations while driving continuous improvement and innovation\.
Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure seamless integration of process design, planning, and execution across metallic and composite fabrication workflows\.
Allocate resources effectively across teams to balance research and development, process design, and production planning priorities\.
Drive the adoption of advanced digital systems, automation, and connected worker technologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency and scalability\.
Establish key performance indicators \(KPIs\) and metrics to monitor team performance, ensuring targets for producibility, process certification, and operational excellence are met\.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with process design and planning, ensuring compliance with industry standards and Bell’s quality expectations\.
Qualifications
Skills You Bring To this Role
8 years of management experience in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, planning & programming with a proven track record of leading diverse teams and driving strategic initiatives\.
Ability to translate high\-level business objectives into actionable plans for process design and manufacturing execution\.
Deep understanding of metallic and composite fabrication processes, CAD/CAM systems \(preferably CATIA 3DX\), and digital automation technologies\.
Strong background in process optimization, workflow management, and standard work development\.
Exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate across all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, customers, and suppliers\.
Advanced analytical skills to address complex challenges and drive innovative solutions\.
What you need to be successful
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field; advanced degrees preferred\.
Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment\.
