Job Summary
As U-M's civic and community engagement center, the Edward Ginsberg Center cultivates and stewards equitable partnerships between communities and the University of Michigan in order to advance social change for the public good. We do this by supporting university-community partnership development, preparing students, faculty, and staff to participate in community-engaged activities, and supporting the advancement of community-engaged teaching, learning, and research at U-M.
In this full time role, you will manage the administrative processes behind Ginsberg Center's services and programs for students, faculty and staff. Working closely with Ginsberg Center teams and leadership, you will coordinate the Center's response to requests from campus and community stakeholders, and provide administrative support and coordination for our programs and services. Reporting to Ginsberg Center's Associate Director for Teaching, Research and Academic Partnerships, you'll work primarily in-person at the Ginsberg Center on U-M's central campus in Ann Arbor. Responsibilities*
+ Manage the administrative processes for Ginsberg Center student workshops including our open registration workshop series and course-based workshops. Tasks include scheduling, registration and communications, facilitation assignments, workshop event logistics, data management and marketing.
+ Manage the administrative process for Ginsberg Center workshops and programs for faculty and staff. Duties include event logistics, registration, marketing, and communication with stakeholders and facilitators.
+ Manage Ginsberg Center's intake process for fielding and delegating requests from university and community stakeholders. Tasks include inbox management, meeting facilitation, delegation of tasks, internal and external communications, and data management.
+ Collaborate with Ginsberg Center staff teams on the execution of workshops, programs, and events.
+ Contribute to regular reporting of workshop, program, event, and intake metrics to support strategic planning and continuous improvement.
+ Contribute to Ginsberg Center's marketing efforts as a member of the Center-wide marketing team
+ Manage the Ginsberg Building reservation system and program calendar to coordinate building use, and develop resources related to space use.
Required Qualifications*
+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, information, education, or related field or at least two years of professional experience
+ Previous professional experience with project management, program management, or event coordination
