Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE
Performs complex NMD laboratory research activities, planning and conducting a complete project of limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project. Sets up and executes experiments. Modifies methods and techniques, records, computes, and analyzes data. Helps with oversight of other laboratory activities including inventory, purchasing, and compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Execute experiments using cellular and mouse models of neuromuscular disease.
+ Assist with laboratory oversight including ordering of key equipment and reagents, tracking purchases, and training new personnel.
+ Plan and conducts technical procedures, non-routine and complex in nature. Sets up and operates equipment and instrumentation.
+ With latitude for modifying methods and techniques, records, computes, and analyzes test data. Prepares test reports and makes recommendations.
+ May review, analyze, and integrate technical work of others.
+ May perform specialized duties in process or service laboratories, such as photography/illustration services.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
+ High School diploma or equivalent Required
+ Associate's degree preferred Preferred
+ 5 years of relevant experience Required
+ or equivalent combination of education and experience Required
