Description
A Crane Operator II will be operating heavy machinery to lift and move materials, equipment, or machinery around a construction site or other rough terrain environment. These operators work with various types of cranes, including fixed-cab cranes and telescopic handlers, to perform tasks such as loading and unloading materials, placing structures, and moving heavy equipment.
+ A good understanding of crane and telehandler operation, safety regulations, and site-specific procedures.
+ Safely and efficiently operate the specified type of crane or telescopic handler, including telescopic boom lifts.
+ Moving materials from trucks or trailers to designated locations, and vice versa.
+ Accurately placing objects or structures in their intended positions using the crane or telescopic handler.
+ Moving materials, equipment, or machinery around the site using equipment.
+ Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines related to operating heavy equipment.
+ Performing routine inspections and maintenance on the equipment.
+ Performing other duties as assigned
+ Complies with all policies and standards
Qualifications
+ Minimum of 6 years experience as a Crane Operator II
+ Must be able to assess through Burns and McDonnell assessment program
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
+ Ability to stand, walk, sit, or reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, push and pull
+ Ability to use repetitive hand motions and the ability to grasp and operate field tools and equipment
+ Ability to climb on, in or through equipment in confined spaces and elevated work using fall protection harnesses.
+ Ability to work long hours with infrequent days off, night shifts, and in adverse climates.
+ Ability to use respirators or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus.
+ Ability to utilize vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
+ Ability to lift, carry and or move up to 60 pounds
+ Ability to work in an environment with loud noises and vibrations for extended periods of time
+ Ability to properly wear and/or use Personal Protection Equipment
