Job Descriptions:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

-Demonstrates knowledge of content, teaching methods, and developmental sequence

-Becomes familiar and gain knowledge of student experience and background

-Sets appropriate instructional goals

-Designs developmentally appropriate instruction

-Assesses student progress

-Coordinates the process and procedure of transitioning student to next appropriate environment

-Implements classroom management procedures, strategies, and techniques

-Assists in all areas of Daily Living Skills

-Creates an environment of respect and rapport

-Establishes a culture of learning

-Establishes and maintains clear and consistent standards of classroom behavior

-Organizes physical space in a safe and suitable learning environment

-Communicates clearly and accurately

-Uses questions and interactive techniques

-Engages all students in learning

-Provides feedback to students

-Demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness

-Assists in daily curricular activities such as children’s arrivals and departures, lunch and/or other program activities

-Collaborates with support staff in providing appropriate instruction.

-Completes ODE required assessments by deadlines in fall and spring of each school y

Required Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or related field, ODE teaching licensure, and valid Ohio driver's license.
