Job Summary:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS), a world leader in state-of-the-art focal plane and camera products. At RVS, you will join a team of engineers and scientists who are creating the industry’s most advanced visible, infrared, multispectral, hyperspectral, and LADAR sensors and camera solutions. Our cutting-edge products are used in a wide range of air, ground, and space applications, in both the commercial and defense markets.
What You Will Do:
The successful candidate will be a software team member working on the design, development, integration, deployment and support of RVS software. You will work with other multi-disciplinary teams supporting military and commercial programs through application of industry standard and in-house tools and development processes.
Responsibilities may include:
+ Software design and development of hardware test frameworks
+ Software integration with firmware and test hardware
+ Software validation to customer specifications
+ Generate formal documentation such as Version Descriptions and Validation Documents
+ Installation, deployment, and instructional support for automated test software
+ Troubleshooting and requirements support of driving new state-of-the art imaging hardware
+ Accountability and tracking of cost/schedule and technical performance metrics
Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Master’s degree in software engineering, Computer Engineering, CS, EE, Physics, Math or related STEM discipline with 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)
+ Exposure to data analysis using tools such as C/C++, C#, Java, or Python with firm understanding of Object Oriented (OO) methodologies
+ Familiarity/exposure to MATLAB programming
+ Familiarity with modern IDEs such as MS Visual Studio, VS Code or Mathworks.
+ Highly results oriented with good communication skills
+ U.S. Citizenship status with an ability to acquire a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
+ Experience in coding with hardware interfaces, (Serial I/O, Ethernet)
+ Experience with software-oriented diagnostic tools (profiler, debugger)
+ Experience with hardware oriented diagnostic tools (oscilloscope, WireShark)
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

The salary range for this role is 72,000 USD - 144,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
