Small Business Loss Mitigation Specialist
This position will be responsible for loss mitigation functions on Small Business Loans up to 60 days delinquent while conforming to lending policy, and debt collection regulations.
How you spend you will spend your time:
+ Collaborate with lenders on assigned SBLC loans that are past due and communicate with both the lender and the borrower to determine the health of the lending relationship.
+ Making customer service oriented calls to SBLC and Commercial borrower’s on accounts up to $1.5 million with a mindset towards uncovering potential risk of non-payment.
+ Submitting payments at the borrower’s request.
+ Alerting lenders weekly of those loans that are due to receive a Demand Notice and mailing the demand notice to the borrower.
+ Alerting lenders of your intent process an offset of the borrower’s checking account to process the payment and mailing our Right to Offset notice after processing.
+ Analyzing SBLC loans for risk by deep diving the following.
+ Reviewing deposit accounts for signs of stress
+ Reviewing borrower’s business standing within the state in which they reside
+ Reviewing borrower’s property tax history is we are secured by real estate
+ Reviewing borrower’s payment history
+ Reviewing payment history for posting errors
+ Reviewing borrower’s other loans with the bank to understand the full relationship
+ Reviewing borrower’s imaging file so you understand their business and can have a quality conversation with them and the lender.
+ Utilizing search engines if borrower is unresponsive to find good contact information.
+ Submitting downgrade transfer requests to BART (Business Asset Recovery Team) when risks are identified.
+ Keeping detailed notes of your findings and actions in CapitalStream.
+ Analyzing accounts in FIS, CapitalStream and HOGAN software applications
+ Supplying management with updates on SBLC loans you were assigned.
+ Submitting month end reporting to management.
We are excited to talk with you if you have:
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills and detail oriented.
+ Understanding of Small Business loans and debt collection experience.
+ Ability to evaluate customer banking relationship data.
+ Knowledge of Small Business & Commercial Loan Products (Term and Revolving Lines of Credit) as well as SBA and USDA backed loans.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks;
+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
+ High school diploma or equivalent and debt collection or comparable experience.
Compensation Range:
$38,910.00 - $75,080.00
