What we want
The College of Pharmacy is looking for a part-time Postdoctoral Research Associate to serve as a member of the Pharmaceutical Sciences team. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. The successful applicant will bring an expert level of experience to the position and understand the demands of supporting executives in a fast-paced environment. This person must be professional, enjoy working in a high-volume environment and be able to apply strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine. What You Need to Know
Hourly Rate Range: Salary will be commensurate based on selected hire’s qualifications.

Required Education
+ Appropriate PhD in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
+ One year of research experience in molecular biology and mouse models
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
+ Ability to communicate with others
+ Ability to mentor and train junior students or undergraduate research students in the laboratory
+ Ability to work independently
+ Ability to perform standard molecular biology, tissue culture, and animal related studies
Responsibilities:
Research
+ Under general supervision, is responsible for conducting research into their field of expertise
+ Utilizes knowledge and skills granted to them by their education and expertise to complete research projects in their field of expertise
+ Conduct experiments and intensively participate in data analysis and preliminary data collection
+ Analyzes research data and summarizes results
+ Collect, compile, interpret, and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present conclusions
+ Writes and may contribute to research papers, articles, and publications
+ Assist in managing the breeding and genotyping of animal’s colonies
+ Assists with the preparation and cleaning of worksite
+ Order and prepare buffers and research reagents as needed and keeps a log
Mentoring
+ May assist, mentor, and/or supervise student researchers and/or graduate students who are working on research related to the project
+ Guide new lab members and undergraduate students
+ May train users on the preparation and data management of research equipment
Presentations
+ Prepares presentation materials on research topic that may be presented to small and/or large groups
+ Actively participates in the preparation of required technical progress reports to research sponsors
+ Participate in poster and podium presentation of the collected results
+ Provide support for establishing a workshop for inter professional education
+ Written reports including abstracts & manuscripts for publications) of research findings and literature search, as/when requested
