Job Summary and Qualifications
The Learning Technology Manager will manage a team of Learning Technology Administrators. The manager will be tasked with hiring and training all new Learning Technology Administrators. This position provides technical leadership in the evaluation and implementation of new and existing learning technologies used at HCA GME. This position collaborates with internal and external business partners to analyze technology functionality or changes, and recommend strategy to deliver educational innovations within the HCA GME Enterprise. This role is based in Brentwood, TN.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
+ Oversees, mentors, and trains a team of Learning Technology Administrators.
+ Monitors workflow and prioritizes team projects and contributes to the development of training, tools, and process documentation for both the department and for assigned projects.
+ Provides technical leadership and expertise during the development, implementation, support and maintenance of eLearning solutions for HCA GME.
+ Directly manages all aspects of technology resources within HCA and leads collaboration between internal and external business partners and GME stakeholders to ensure optimal delivery of educational innovation initiatives.
+ Strategizes to identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement innovative ideas throughout the project lifecycle. Directs large-scale, complex education projects involving multiple internal and external partners.
+ Leads vendor evaluations for products that are projected to deliver significant business value, require infrastructure changes, or present significant technical or operational risk. Apply a proficient understanding of how GME utilizes the product(s), by maintaining strong relationships with the business partners and product users.
+ Project management experience to take complex, high impact projects from conception to fruition; while developing quantifiable measurements, and prioritizing large workload to meet strict deadlines and budgets in an environment of multiple projects and changing priorities.
+ Develops plans with vendor (HealthStream) to ensure advanced data integrity, manage course content and technology-driven components of the LMS environment (system, interfaces, data feeds). Focuses on advancing and ensuring customer satisfaction and optimal utilization of HealthStream’s platform and services. Serves as the customer’s advocate within the HealthStream operating environment by championing their ideas, issues and needs.
+ Serves as a resource to those performing the work of the Learning Technology Administrators. Leads the creation of best practices, resources, and tools that enable new technology solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ **REQUIRED:** Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program providing training in a related field.
+ HIGHLY PREFFERED: Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in managing learning management systems.
EXPERIENCE:
+ Expert-level as an Enterprise and Institutional Administration for a Learning Management Systems.
+ Expert-level experience with eLearning develop tools/authorware and basic HTML coding skills Expert-level experience at hierarchy management for a Learning Management System.
+ Knowledge of eLearning standards such as SCORM Ability to model values of the organization.
+ Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
+ Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proven skill in managing customer expectations.
+ Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
+ Excellent collaboration, facilitation, relationship management, and negotiation skills
