Description
We're seeking a dynamic financial professional to become a critical partner in shaping Amazon's strategic financial landscape. In this pivotal position, you will play an instrumental role supporting processes that are essential to Amazon’s financial planning capabilities by partnering broadly across the Finance organization to translate complex numbers into compelling narratives and insights that guide executive leadership.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive financial bridges, narratives and strategic documents for executive leadership, covering monthly, quarterly, and annual planning processes
- Collaborate proactively with business finance teams using a customer-obsessed approach to ensure data accuracy and alignment of financial reporting
- Create guidance and workback plans to support key financial review meetings and processes
- Support process governance and improvement by implementing solutions using AI tools and automation technologies to enhance financial analysis and insights
- Utilize advanced financial systems to conduct deep-dive analyses and generate executive-level summaries

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 7+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 7+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or CPA
- 7+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 7+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
