A Pharmacist role in Macon, GA is available courtesy of Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences. In this role, the Pharmacist will be responsible for supporting and advancing the pharmacy management team’s goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy. This position provides routine and emergency comprehensive drug screening, medication information, processing, and dispensing services across various drug distribution systems. Strong management skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy are essential to ensure that all drug products reach customers safely and efficiently.
**Position type:** Contract to hire (100% onsite)
**Location:** Macon, GA
**Work hours:** Flex schedule and alternating weekends
**Pay rate:** $60.00-65.13/hr.- depending on your level of experience
Essential Functions

+ Execute day-to-day pharmacy operations related to workflow, production quotas, and deadlines.
+ Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
+ Assist in maintaining adherence to DEA policies and procedures per PharmScript or stricter regulatory agency guidelines.
+ Ensure compliance with third-party payer contract rules and regulations.
+ Supervise pharmacy production staff to ensure proper order entry, workflow, pharmacy security, and adherence to delivery schedules.
+ Verify completeness and accuracy of all new and refill prescriptions, labels, drug packaging, and product contents.
+ Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of sterile IV drug products and solutions.
+ Assist with ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of controlled substances, including maintaining perpetual inventory for Schedule II drugs.
+ Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as part of the scheduled on-call rotation or as required by management.
+ Ensure the workflow dashboard is cleared daily.
+ Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
+ Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required and/or expected.
+ Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Pharmacist license in GA active and in good standing
• Bachelors or PharmD required
• 2+ years of pharmacist experience preferred, will consider new grads
• Strong knowledge of disease state management guidelines and the five core elements of Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services

**Pay Details:** $60.00 to $65.13 per hour
