    We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in designing and testing advanced military and defense systems. This role involves applying engineering principles to develop innovative solutions and improve upon existing designs. The successful candidate will work on complex materials and structural components, utilizing advanced engineering software tools.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform mechanical analysis, CAD design, or mechanical test of missile system products.

    + Utilize Siemens NX and Teamcenter for mechanical design and analysis.

    + Apply GD&T Y14.5 standards in everyday design tasks.

    + Develop and manage test programs for system components.

    + Communicate project status and results to internal and external stakeholders.

    + Create and review drawing/design packages ensuring compliance with industry standards.

    + Resolve design interpretation issues and verify models for manufacturing.

    + Collaborate with engineering disciplines, manufacturing, quality teams, and vendors.

    + Supervise and direct activities of staff as needed.

    + Ensure efficient modeling of components and assemblies using Siemens NX 1946.

    Essential Skills

    + 5 years of experience in mechanical design using CAD, Siemens NX, and Teamcenter.

    + Experience in the missile, launch vehicle, or defense industry.

    + Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

    + Bachelor's degree in STEM with 7 years of related experience, or a Master's/PhD with 5 years of experience.

    + Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Siemens NX 1946 and Teamcenter.

    + Active DoD Secret Security clearance or higher.

    + Certification in GD&T Y14.5-2009.

    + Knowledge of CNC Mill and Lathe operations.

    + Strong communication and time management skills.

    Work Environment

    The role involves working primarily in an office setting, with occasional lab testing or manufacturing activities. The 9/80 schedule provides flexibility, with nine-hour workdays and a three-day weekend every other week, enhancing work-life balance. The position supports projects related to the design and launch of defensive systems for government and military customers.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $62.50/hr.
