    Adecco is assisting a local San Jose, CA client in search of a Logistic Expeditor for Monday to Friday Swing Shift. $32 to $36 DOE. APPLY NOW!!

    Position Summary

    The Logistics Expeditor is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and accelerating inbound material flow to support uninterrupted production operations. This role works closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, internal teams, and logistics partners to ensure on-time delivery and real-time visibility of critical materials.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Monitor and expedite inbound shipments to ensure timely arrival of materials for production needs.

    + Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to manage and adjust delivery schedules.

    + Resolve shipping delays or discrepancies, including customs clearance issues and transit exceptions.

    + Maintain full visibility of in-transit inventory and provide timely updates to production, planning, and logistics teams.

    + Identify risks related to material shortages, bottlenecks, or delivery failures; escalate and mitigate as needed.

    + Collaborate closely with buyers, planners, and warehouse teams to prioritize urgent or high-impact shipments.

    + Update the ERP system (SAP, Oracle, or similar) with accurate shipment statuses, delivery dates, and confirmations.

    + Participate in daily supply chain and production meetings to report on expediting and logistics status.

    + Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and compliant with Incoterms and import/export regulations.

    + Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on logistics coordination and lead-time reduction.

    + Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    + Strong knowledge of logistics operations, including freight coordination, customs processes, and shipping terms.

    + Excellent communication and follow-up skills; comfortable working directly with external suppliers and logistics partners.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar) strongly preferred.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.

    + Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and strong in problem-solving.

    + Team-oriented with the ability to work independently as needed.

    Education & Experience

    + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred; Associate degree with relevant experience accepted.

    + 1–3 years of experience in expediting, logistics coordination, or supply chain operations, ideally in a manufacturing setting.

    + Experience with freight forwarders, customs clearance, and international shipping preferred.

    + Background in contract manufacturing or electronics manufacturing is a plus.

    **Pay Details:** $32.00 to $36.00 per hour
