Adecco is assisting a local San Jose, CA client in search of a Material Program Manager. This is a temp to hire role. Monday to Friday Swing Shift $35 to $43 DOE. APPLY NOW!
Role & Purpose:
+ Facilitate material delivery schedules and maintain inventory accuracy.
+ Coordinate with the **end customer** on material planning to align supply and demand.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Track material status for projects and manage delivery timelines to avoid production line-down issues.
+ Develop and execute material shortage mitigation strategies: work with spot markets, brokers, and suppliers, or escalate issues with the customer.
+ Negotiate pricing and lead times with brokers to secure materials.
+ Provide raw material quotations to customers; monitor logistics and shipments.
+ Handle inbound material quality issues, RMAs (returns), and coordinate repairs (on-site or offsite).
+ Monitor and track credit memos for returned materials.
+ Work with Incoming Quality Assurance to resolve material discrepancies (e.g., missing drawings, incorrect lot or date codes, missing components).
+ Liaise with customs brokers to ensure the correct documentation is in place to prevent shipping delays.
+ Ensure RMA replacements or credits are processed correctly.
+ Communicate with internal product engineering (PE) teams to keep the Bill of Materials (BOM) up to date.
+ Coordinate with receiving to solve any receiving discrepancies.
+ Work cross-functionally (PM, warehouse, production) to synchronize material status with production planning.
+ Assist buyers with expediting parts, managing purchase orders, and resolving issues.
Qualifications / Skills:
+ Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
+ Experience is required (Glassdoor doesn’t explicitly state years in this listing, but similar roles require relevant supply chain/OEM experience).
+ Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Computer literate; must be comfortable with Microsoft Office tools.
+ **Mandarin** fluency is a plus
**Pay Details:** $35.00 to $43.00 per hour
