    Job Title: Environmental Scientist - Industrial Hygiene

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Scientist who is eager to work on a diverse range of projects and fieldwork assignments. The role involves providing both fieldwork and office-related support for site investigations and environmental inspections. You will assist senior staff with fieldwork tasks for ongoing projects throughout the five boroughs and contribute to the preparation of project planning documents, data evaluation, and report preparation. The ability to work efficiently both individually and as part of a project team is essential, as is tracking and meeting contractual and regulatory deadlines.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist with fieldwork tasks for ongoing projects throughout the five boroughs under the guidance of senior staff.

    + Contribute to the preparation of project planning documents, data evaluation, and report preparation.

    + Provide fieldwork and office-related support for projects related to site investigations and environmental inspections.

    + Work efficiently individually and as part of project teams.

    + Track and meet contractual and regulatory deadlines.

    Essential Skills

    + BS or MS in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field.

    + 2 years of experience with fieldwork investigations, environmental sampling, and inspections.

    + Licensed EPA Risk Assessor or Lead Inspector

    + NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector

    + Experience with the MS Office Suite.

    + 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + OSHA 40-hour certification.

    Work Environment

    You will be part of a team consisting of 10-15 Environmental Scientists and Inspectors. This field-based position involves working on projects throughout New York City and the five boroughs, including NYC Agency Projects. You will report to Senior Environmental Scientists and engage in sampling in the field. Our office is located in Midtown, New York, offering a fun culture that includes happy hours and outings. We take pride in the high caliber of work we perform and provide growth opportunities, including potential advancement to a supervisory role. Additional certifications required during your first week of training will be paid for by us.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
