    The Process Engineer will support the Product Development Engineer in transitioning a new filter development program into production. This role focuses on assisting with multiple development projects, particularly in process design, trials, and implementation. The Process Engineer will execute and establish the assembly process for the filter program following an outlined plan.

    Responsibilities

    + Understand project requirements and develop new processes and parameters.

    + Conduct controlled trials to build parts, record data, and evaluate process variables.

    + Perform statistical analysis on process variation, including utilizing Six Sigma principles, DOE, and standard deviation.

    + Collaborate with automation suppliers to develop and implement processes into production.

    + Select tooling for machines and run parts to validate performance.

    + Ensure cycle times and process efficiency meet production goals.

    + Write work instructions and assist operators during process implementation.

    + Submit test requirements and plans to the lab for validation.

    + Maintain structured documentation and manage purchase orders for suppliers.

    + Generate ideas for process optimization and new methods.

    + Investigate variation within production populations and identify critical factors.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

    + 2+ years of Process Engineering experience

    + Statistical analysis experience, particularly in changing one variable at a time and collecting data for adjustments

    + Technical writing skills, including experience in writing SOPs or test procedures

    + Understanding of control plans

    + Experience with plastic assembly

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Solidworks

    + Ultrasonic welding

    + Time studies

    + Minitab

    + AutoCAD / Plant Layout

    Work Environment

    The work environment offers a unique opportunity to implement a brand new program into production. The role features flexible starting hours between 6-8 am and a 9-80 schedule, allowing every other Friday off. The Process Engineer will frequently work alongside the Product Development Engineer, who was responsible for developing the filter program. The use of technologies such as ultrasonic welding and polyurethane sealing is integral to the process.

    This is a Contract position based out of Cadillac, MI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
