BUSINESS UNIT: TERMINALS Kinder Morgan is the largest independent terminal operator in North America, providing a strong, reliable network of 144 terminals serving our customers’ storage, distribution, blending and logistical needs. Our terminals store and handle renewable fuels, petroleum products, chemicals, vegetable oils and other products. We have a combined liquids storage capacity of approximately 151 million barrels and handle about 59 million tons of dry bulk materials annually.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Purpose: - Under minimal supervision of Terminal Manager or other persons designated by the Manager, performs a variety of duties listed below: the selected candidate will be a key contributor to the strategic goals of the business from an administrative capacity. Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for multiple, accurate monthly marine activity reports in supoort of managment and commercial departmetns.
+ Evaluate, summarize and report monthly Key Performance Indicators for terminal customers.
+ Update Monthly Business Review to reflect Dock Utilization, Monthly Throughput and other data as required.
+ Calculate all vessel and barge wait times by BOSTCO, customer and combined.
+ Customize reports to specific customer needs for Quality Partnership Meetings.
+ Lead Dock Scheduler and eGalahad support.
+ Update monthly Barge Performance reporting for commercial meetings.
+ Conduct Incident Review meetings for SQE by-weekly reporting.
+ Track Variance and Great Catch entries and conduct monthly steering committee review meetings.
+ Coordinate with other departments for timely completion of Variance projects and report updates in weekly General Manager Notes.
+ Show positive recognition for terminal teammates actively participating in the Variance and Great Catch Program.
+ Maintain monthly movement pumping rates and report quarterly averages.
+ Update quarterly Board Meeting notes and report to management.
+ Serves as Inventory back up duties as needed.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Experience, skills and knowledge:
+ Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) and ability to operate in a network computer environment by understanding the complexities of saving and accessing files and data on network drives plus software. Advanced excel knowledge.
+ Must be competent, courteous, accurate, and thorough in dealing with internal and external customers.
+ Ability to attain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credentials) as offered by TSA (Transportation Security Administration).
+ Ability to manage shifting priorites throughout the work day while maintaining confidence and composure.
+ Advanced mathematical, communication as well as problem recognition and solving skills.
+ General accounting and bookkeeping experience preferred.
+ Strong computer knowledge and proficiency with database and software applications.
+ Aptitude to work in a team oriented environment, take direction from management and keep required work schedules: keep focus on details and follow work rules.
+ Telephone and email etiquette.
+ Experience working with and/ or managing payroll systems.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:
+ Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
+ Willingness to use personal and/ or company vehicle in the course of employment.
+ Job commensurate with experience and skill sets.
+ The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug test screen and a complete background check, after an offer has been extended and prior to employment.
Working Conditions:
+ Proven ability to take initiative, work high independently and handle mulitpule projects simultaneously.
+ Participate in field Management By Walking Around (MBWA) and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during extremes of temperature and humidity.
+ Light lifting, bending, climbing may be required. Sitting and typing for long periods of time throughout the work day.
