Description
We are looking for a dedicated Patient Access Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. This role involves ensuring smooth patient registration processes while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, organization, and clerical duties to support patient care operations effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate patient registration by collecting and verifying necessary information while ensuring accuracy.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls related to scheduling, billing, and insurance matters.
• Assist patients in understanding medical coverage, deductibles, and copays.
• Perform receptionist duties, including greeting patients and managing front-desk operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage clerical tasks to support clinical operations.
• Optimize scheduling procedures to ensure efficient flow of patient appointments.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support trial operations and adhere to established protocols.
• Utilize computer systems effectively for labeling, documentation, and data entry.
• Conduct ad hoc financial tasks to assist patients with billing processes.
Requirements • Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or call center environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
• Proficiency in clerical and receptionist duties, including documentation and scheduling.
• Familiarity with insurance processes, medical billing, and patient financial assistance.
• Ability to navigate computer systems and perform accurate data entry.
• Knowledge of clinical trial protocols and operations is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
