    Job Title: Installer

    Job Description

    The Installer is responsible for installing and upgrading all product lines of office furniture. The ideal candidate will have the ability to use power tools and demonstrate a working knowledge of product handling, staging, and assembly of HMI and ancillary furniture lines.

    Responsibilities

    + Unload product from trucks and stage in the warehouse.

    + Inspect and document product for damage and quality before installation or delivery.

    + Load and secure product on trucks.

    + Review installation plans with the senior installation lead.

    + Interface with clients and contractors to ensure smooth installation processes.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in installation, delivery, and assembly.

    + Attention to detail and knowledge of construction and general labor.

    + Mechanical skills, including installation and troubleshooting.

    + Proficiency with hand tools, blueprints, repair, and power tools.

    + Ability to use a tape measure, pack, and handle materials.

    + Forklift and warehouse experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Valid driver's license.

    + Ability to pass a 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.

    + Successful completion of a background check.

    + Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

    + At least 1 year of experience in installing furniture or equipment, warehouse, delivery, construction, or assembly.

    + Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The role involves installing furniture and equipment on commercial jobsites, requiring interaction with owners and subcontractors. Candidates must possess proficient customer service skills to explain processes and address any installation queries. Work is typically performed in teams of two. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 4 PM.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
