Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive and reactive maintenance of machinery, including CNC machines, drill presses, and grinding machines. The role involves ensuring machines are operational and productive, with a focus on CNC mills and lathes.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventive and reactive maintenance (PMs and RMs) on machinery, including 60-70 CNC machines, drill presses, and grinding machines.
+ Utilize standard tools such as drills, impacts, sockets, and meters; personal tools are not allowed onsite.
+ Quickly address and fix machine breakdowns to ensure minimal downtime.
+ Review notes from the 2nd shift and prioritize tasks at the start of each day.
+ Repair tasks include fixing belts, greasing machines, and troubleshooting and repairing ladder control, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs.
+ Maintain logs of maintenance activities and job orders.
+ Communicate with supervisors to manage tool and parts inventory, and order parts as needed.
+ Perform general housekeeping and light maintenance during downtime.
+ Potential local travel to receive or deliver parts once fully trained.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of experience in CNC maintenance.
+ Experience with maintenance and repair of hydraulic components and CNC controls.
+ Basic electrical maintenance and repair skills, including troubleshooting PLCs and pneumatics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong attention to detail and aptitude for maintenance tasks.
+ Excellent attendance and communication skills.
+ Ability to work well in a team and engage with peers.

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean and organized shop floor, with 160 employees on the floor and 200 in the facility. The role operates on a 1st shift schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with some flexibility after training. Overtime is available on most weekends, though not always mandatory.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Hartford, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
