Job Title: Machine Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform both corrective and preventive maintenance on assembly lines across multiple buildings. Candidates should have mid to high level experience, particularly with packaging and filler maintenance.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct safe and efficient maintenance operations on high-speed packaging equipment such as fillers, cappers, labelers, blenders, pumps, and mixers.

+ Perform scheduled maintenance repairs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.

+ Assist in improving maintenance procedures and actively participate in production support.

+ Properly document maintenance activities and adopt a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.

Essential Skills

+ Mechanical repair

+ Electrical troubleshooting

+ Pneumatic and hydraulic repair

+ Familiarity with 480v 3-phase motors

+ PLC knowledge

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2-5 years maintenance experience

+ Electrical and mechanical understanding

+ Mechanical/Technical degree preferred

+ Excellent reading, math, and communication skills

+ Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and other departments

+ Understanding of work orders and processes

+ Experience with packaging maintenance is strongly preferred

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean, temperature-controlled liquid fill contract packaging facility with spacious lines. The facility operates high-speed packaging equipment and requires safety measures such as glasses and hair nets. The busiest months are July and August, with a production target of 7 million units a month. The facility contains both new and old equipment, dating back to the 1940s.

This is a Permanent position based out of SOMERVILLE, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $66560.00/yr.
