    Job Title: Handforming Specialist

    Job Description

    We are seeking skilled Handforming Specialists to join our team with openings on both the 1st shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday) and the 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 12:00 am, Monday to Friday). Overtime opportunities are available on Saturdays as needed. The role involves hand forming various materials, including steel, titanium, and aluminum, to meet engineering drawing requirements.

    Responsibilities

    + Clock into jobs using the ERP system.

    + Understand different material types and manipulate them using proper tooling.

    + Use Form Tooling/Templates to determine shapes of parts.

    + Employ check fixtures for parts and use an Arbor Press.

    + Read calipers, micrometers, straight edges, radius gauges, and protractors.

    + Understand and form flatness, straightness, and angles.

    + Recognize tempers, gauges of materials, corrosion, and burns after heat treatment.

    + Ensure proper handling and containment of parts to be processed.

    + Prepare surfaces appropriately and maintain quality of work.

    + Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and keep work space clean and organized.

    Essential Skills

    + Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

    + Proficiency in using basic and specialty hand tools, including precision measuring equipment.

    + Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers across shifts.

    + Capability to perform simple math and follow directions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + Minimum of 1 year of handforming or similar manufacturing experience preferred.

    + Experience with forklifts, shrinker/stretchers, hydro presses, and hammers.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals. The role requires regular standing, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as repetitive hammering. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Park City, KS.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
