Job Title: Cell Operator

Job Description

As a Cell Operator, you will be stationed at a designated 'Cell' and tasked with guiding rubber products for the automotive industry through the production cycle. The steps are similar across different cells, involving handling molding tools, filling slots with metal rings, and inspecting finished products for quality.

Responsibilities

+ Fill molding tools with metal rings, ensuring all slots are occupied.

+ Flip the molding tool into the machine for processing.

+ Remove the tool from the machine and cool the product using an air brush.

+ Inspect finished products for defects such as air bubbles or rips.

+ Document shift logs, including operations performed, maintenance, and quality checks.

+ Adhere to quality checks using a binder for reference and utilize magnifying glass attachments for detailed inspections.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to stand on feet for the entire shift.

+ Strong attention to detail and proficiency in inspection and sorting.

+ Basic proficiency in English for reading and understanding instructions.

+ Capability to lift 35 lbs multiple times per hour.

+ Commitment to safety standards and quality assurance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Strong communication skills.

+ Ability to maintain enthusiasm and interest in repetitive tasks.

+ No more than two job changes in the last six months.

Work Environment

Work in a structured yet dynamic environment with shifts that cater to different schedules. Operators work in a climate-controlled space and have access to drinks as long as they have a cap. The facility promotes safety with provided PPE, including safety glasses and Kevlar sleeves, and offers opportunities to advance to team lead positions. Breaks are paid and the policy prohibits smoking or leaving the premises during shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morristown, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
