    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for supporting the production lines by delivering parts and removing materials efficiently. You will collaborate closely with leads in both the paint and assembly departments to ensure all needs are met, operating forklifts to transport parts, and managing inventory transactions with a handheld scanner.

    Responsibilities

    + Support production lines by delivering parts and removing materials.

    + Collaborate with department leads to ensure smooth operations.

    + Operate forklifts to transport parts to and from shelves.

    + Move carts and pallet jacks throughout the production floor.

    + Assist other material handlers and work on the assembly line.

    + Aid the paint unload team in organizing units.

    + Conduct inventory transactions using a handheld scanner.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in inventory, material handling, or part picking.

    + Proficiency in using RF scanning devices.

    + Effective communication in English (speaking, reading, writing, understanding).

    + Basic arithmetic skills (counting, adding, subtracting).

    + Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.

    + Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally and push/pull up to 100 lbs.

    + Capability to perform tasks involving walking and standing for 8-12 hours.

    + Manual dexterity for handling parts and tools.

    + Flexibility in crouching, kneeling, bending, stooping, and reaching.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in a manufacturing facility that is not air-conditioned, which can result in warm conditions during the summer. The paint department offers air conditioning when handling painting parts, but much of the role involves working in the fabrication area where conditions are warm. Candidates should be comfortable working in this environment.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, MN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $22.70/hr.
