Job Title: CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including C.N.C. and manual lathes, mills, and precision grinders.

+ Manufacture parts to exacting tolerances and dimensions by understanding mechanisms, tools, and machines.

+ Follow blueprints, sketches, engineering specifications, and verbal instructions to determine the sequence of operations.

+ Utilize machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments like Swiss micrometers and calipers.

+ Communicate with team members regarding dimensions, tooling, feeds, and speeds.

+ Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment.

+ Monitor and verify the dimensions and finish of parts during the machining process.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.

+ Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.

Essential Skills

+ 4+ years of experience working on Mazak lathes and mills.

+ Proficiency in programming CNC machines using Mastercam and Solidworks.

+ Experience with 3, 4, and 5 axis machining.

+ Ability to run manual machines and perform set-ups.

+ Experience with MAZATROL and Fanuc (HAAS) Controller.

+ Ability to read and interpret production specifications, diagrams, and blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Aerospace industry experience is preferred.

+ CAD/CAM experience with Mastercam.

+ CAM experience with SolidWorks/NX Siemens.

+ Expertise with Fanuc Mill (HAAS) controls, with 5 axis simultaneous.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lake Charles, LA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $53.13 - $53.13/hr.
