    Job Title: Plumber Foreman

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Plumber Foreman, where you will oversee the installation of plumbing systems in new construction projects across commercial sites in West Michigan. You will work with copper and PEX materials, utilizing hand and power tools to complete installations with precision and expertise.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform new construction installation of plumbing equipment for commercial sites.

    + Work with copper and PEX plumbing materials to complete installations.

    + Utilize hand tools and power tools to hang, solder, and thread pipe.

    + Read tape measures accurately to cut and level piping installations.

    + Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in fitting and soldering copper pipes for domestic water systems.

    + Ability to thread pipes and understand general plumbing practices.

    + Possession of personal hand tools, including tape measure, channel locks, drill, and level.

    + Comfort working at heights, with experience working up to 100ft in the air.

    + Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

    + State of Michigan Journeyman or Master Plumber certification.

    + Leadership experience with project lead responsibilities.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience operating equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and ladders.

    + Understanding of blueprint reading and general labor tasks.

    + Welding and PVC fitting experience.

    + 5+ years of experience in the commercial plumbing and pipefitting industry.

    + Experience working on projects such as schools, warehouses, medical centers, apartments, or community centers.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in dynamic commercial environments, such as schools, warehouses, community centers, apartments, and medical buildings, both indoors and outdoors. Most projects provide shelter with a roof overhead. Work alongside a team of approximately 20 plumbers and pipefitters, starting shifts at 6am or 7am, with 8-10 hour days and possible overtime. Safety equipment, including steel-toed boots and other PPE, is provided.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
