    Job Description

    As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for receiving materials and equipment, unloading trucks, and verifying merchandise against purchase orders. You will operate a forklift to store and unload materials as necessary. Your role will include recording the entry and distribution of materials using warehouse software systems, and reading work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

    Responsibilities

    + Receive and unload materials and equipment from trucks.

    + Match purchase orders to vendor packing lists.

    + Record entry and distribution of materials using warehouse software systems.

    + Determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed based on work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions.

    + Move materials from receiving or storage areas to designated locations.

    + Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins by size, type, style, color, or product code.

    + Fill requisitions and distribute items to shipping or designated storage areas.

    + Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.

    + Open boxes, crates, and containers.

    + Assist with counting physical inventory.

    + Weigh and count items for distribution within the plant.

    + Maintain warehouse and work area orderliness by sweeping, dusting, and mopping.

    + Ensure warehouse accessibility and safety.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in basic computer skills.

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.

    + Effective customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Familiarity with manufacturing or warehouse software is preferred.

    + Detail-oriented mindset.

    + Experience with hand tools is beneficial.

    Work Environment

     

    Work hours are Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 5pm and Saturdays from 6am to Noon. The environment is fast-paced, focusing on punctuality, willingness to learn, and adaptability. Candidates with previous warehouse experience are preferred, but any experience with physical labor and organization is valuable.

    This is a Contract position based out of Ashburn, VA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
