    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    A shipping and receiving clerk handles incoming and outgoing packages in a warehouse. Job duties include tracking inventory, keeping accurate records, packaging and weighing items, printing shipping labels and postage, inspecting goods received for damage, and distributing products to other departments.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.

    + Collaborate and communicate with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.

    + Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.

    + Maintain a clean, neat, and organized workspace.

    + Promptly unload trucks and deliveries, and sort and stock receivables.

    + Maintain an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.

    + Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.

    + Provide additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in inventory management.

    + Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes.

    + Ability to pick and load efficiently.

    + General labor skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong attention to detail.

    + Ability to perform heavy lifting.

    + Strong communication skills.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a production environment at a manufacturer of plastic packaging. The hours for this position are 3 pm to 11 pm, Monday through Friday. The role requires heavy lifting of boxes, scanning, and attention to detail.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warwick, RI.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
