Job Title: Machine Operator (1st Shift)

Job Description

Join our team as a Machine Operator, where you will operate compression mold machines to produce rubber or plastic rings and seals used in the oil and gas industry. Your role will involve measuring powders and materials to ensure proper consistency, setting up machines, and operating hydraulic presses to mold rubber preforms into seals.

Responsibilities

+ Inspect first run parts for defects and make necessary adjustments prior to production.

+ Turn preforms, stack preforms, and straighten preforms and parts while parts are in press.

+ Load press platens uniformly with molds of equal height.

+ Handle molds with care to prevent denting or galling of critical machined surfaces, and report any damage to molds or machines to the manager.

+ Verify that preforms fit molds properly and report discrepancies to the Crew Lead.

+ Ensure proper engagement of molds when press closes and pressure is applied, especially when molds are stacked.

MUST HAVE Skills

+ At least 2+ years of experience in machine operating (plastic or rubber experience preferred).

+ Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

+ Experience in production/manufacturing environments

+ Familiarity with using hand tools.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 1st shift from 6AM to 3PM in a shop environment. Steel-toed shoes and safety glasses are required to ensure a safe working condition.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Humble, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.55 - $17.55/hr.
