Job Title: Plumber Helper/Laborer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Plumber Helper/Laborer to assist in commercial job sites. This role involves working at various locations including VA Tech and downtown Pulaski, supporting our plumbing and construction projects.

Responsibilities

+ Assist plumbers with installations and repairs on commercial job sites.

+ Work with sheet metal, HVAC systems, and piping installations.

+ Interpret and work from blueprints and construction plans.

+ Perform general labor tasks as needed in support of plumbing projects.

+ Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

+ Contribute to duct installation and other mechanical tasks.

Essential Skills

+ At least 1 year of experience in a commercial construction Plumber Helper position.

+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Experience with plumbing, piping, and mechanical installations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years of experience in mechanical trades preferred.

+ Strong attendance and reliability.

+ Willingness to work at multiple job sites.

Work Environment

The position operates on a first shift schedule from 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. Work involves outdoor tasks in various climate conditions. The pay rate starts at $15 and increases with experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blacksburg, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $19.00/hr.
