Job Title: Assistant Production Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Assistant Shift Supervisor to join our team. This direct hire position offers an opportunity to work Monday to Friday from 3 pm to 11 pm, with the potential for additional hours on weekends. In this role, you will assist the shift supervisor in ensuring safety, production, and quality standards are met. Your hands-on approach, analytical skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail will be crucial.

Responsibilities

+ Ensure employees on shift are trained and understand job requirements, including how to run and load equipment.

+ Monitor quality requirements such as features, trim, and hand-inserted parts.

+ Collaborate with assembly and warehouse departments to ensure inventory accuracy of finished goods, work-in-progress, and scrap.

+ Complete material handling tasks during the shift.

+ Manage shift paperwork, including productivity reporting, quality checks, and rejects.

+ Assist maintenance, quality, and engineering departments as needed.

+ Train new employees on proper techniques and procedures.

+ Ensure the safety of yourself and coworkers by staying knowledgeable and compliant with all safety rules and policies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Forklift experience is mandatory as you will be performing forklift duties as a lead.

+ Experience in plastics is necessary.

+ Temporary management experience is a plus.

+ Quality experience is advantageous.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Lake Bluff, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

• Salary commensurate with experience, paid weekly.
