    Job Details

    The Security Officer provides professional security observation and protective services throughout the Medical Center.

    Responsibilities:

    + Patrols the Hospital and grounds

    + Monitors visitors, staff and patients

    + Ability to cope with physical and emotional stress

    + Utilizes discretion and diplomacy when enforcing the Medical Center's NO smoking policy

    + Position is strenuous requiring extensive walking, working both indoor and outdoor in all types of weather. Light to heavy lifting may be required

    + Requires possible restraint of patients, visitors and/or family members

    + Escorts personnel to and from buildings as necessary

    + Concentrates efforts on preserving peace, protecting persons/ property, and safety issues by utilizing effective observation techniques

    + Writes Security incident reports as required and performs other related duties as assigned

    + Deals with outside agencies routinely (SCPD, DOH, OSHA) in a professional and appropriate manner

    Requirements:

    + High School diploma or equivalent

    + Previous experience in law enforcement, security, or military preferred

    + Must possess clean/valid N.Y.S. driver's license

    + Must meet N.Y.S. Security Guard license, training and registration or be currently employed as a Police Officer in accordance with NYS law

     

    Salary Range

     

    Starting from USD $29.68/Hr.
