    UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Lead Full Stack Java Developer for an onsite/hybrid position in Albany, NY. Local applicants strongly preferred. The right candidate will come with strong front-end and back-end expertise, specializing in designing, developing, and maintaining modern web applications. Skilled in Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, TypeScript, SQL, and scalable application frameworks, with proven experience leading development teams, conducting code reviews, guiding technical decisions, and supporting full SDLC delivery processes. Adept at working within GitFlow, automated deployment pipelines, and collaborative Agile environments to produce high-quality, maintainable, and performant software solutions.

    MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

    + Bachelor’s degree in a technical or professional specialty.

    + 6 years of Java object oriented programming expeirence

    + Minimum of 6 years of relevant IT experience, functioning as a senior technology professional demonstrating mastery of complex problem-solving, solution development, and leadership on large-scale or highly technical projects.

    + 4 years of expertise in Spring Boot

    + 3 years of expertise in Spring Data

    + 4 years of experience using Gradle

    + 3 years of experience using Bootstrap

    + 2 years of experience using Vue.js

    + 1 year of experience using Vue3

    + 1 year of experience using TypeScript

    + 2 years of experience using git

    + 2–3 years of experience with Data Warehousing / Reporting tools / SQL

    SCOPE OF SERVICES

    + Support the development team in delivering working software, including contributing to pull requests, conducting code reviews, and ensuring efficient flow of code from design through release.

    + Understand the client’s technical environment and architectural decisions to lead team-level technical direction within established constraints.

    + Use leadership and communication skills to assign, track, and follow up on work through a GitFlow and JIRA-driven release process.

    + Read and write code, identify challenges, and delegate tasks effectively across the technical team.

    + Maintain a pragmatic approach to technical issues, focusing on system design, engineering needs, and the delivery of performant, maintainable, and high-quality software components.
