Clinical Application Analyst
Primary Job Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for planning, design, build, testing, and implementing of information systems that support and enhance clinical practices and business processes.
+ Analyze and diagnose problems within the clinical applications of St. Mary’s. Identify root cause, then either solve the issue, or engage the appropriate resources to resolve.
+ Able to independently evaluate systems, analyze complex issues and problems, test data, and assist customers in reaching resolution(s).
+ Familiar with physician practices workflows, hospital outpatient/inpatient departments, and patient experiences within our organization.
+ Understand a wide array of integration points, including scheduling, lab, radiology, billing, and flow to and from Inpatient clinical areas.
+ Provides ongoing maintenance and support for assigned applications with little to no assistance.
+ The ability to elicit customer requirements and design technical solutions that meet the customer’s needs.
+ Able to utilize current issue tracking software to document contact with customers and resolutions to issues.
+ Must work effectively with team members, have strong communication skills, and always maintain a professional demeanor.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of (2) two years of experience in healthcare IT supporting Clinical/EMR/Financial systems. Medent Experience is required.
+ Must have experience in developing web-based reporting applications using SQL along with other business analytic applications and systems.
+ Knowledge and experience in workflow analysis and Performance Improvement Methodologies to enhance/support quality program initiatives.
+ Experience in data support, coordination, and education, with advanced knowledge of statistics and statistical process control methods.
+ Knowledge and experience with data management and display and communication.
