As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Care Account Management team, you are an integral part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a core technical contributor, you will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
+ Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
+ Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
+ Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
+ Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
+ Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
+ Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
+ Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
+ Experience in developing and maintaining applications using COBOL, DB2, CICS,IMS DC/DB ensuring robust and efficient mainframe solutions, and follow the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure structured and efficient software development processes.
+ Develop and manage CICS (Customer Information Control System) applications for transaction processing in mainframe environments .
+ Extensive Knowledge on IMS (Information Management System) for hierarchical database management and transaction processing in mainframe environments. Design and optimize databases using DB2, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.
+ Proven capability in supporting release deployments, coupled with highly experienced in solving complex problems.
+ Deep knowledge on Schedule and monitor batch jobs using CA7, ensuring timely and efficient execution of critical business processes
+ Hands on with VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method) for efficient data storage and retrieval in mainframe environments.
+ Experience with Change Man/Endeavor for version control and change management, supporting efficient deployment and maintenance of software applications and Utilize Strobe for performance analysis and tuning, optimizing application performance and resource utilization
+ Utilize REXX for scripting and automation, enhancing productivity and efficiency in mainframe operations.
+ Implement ZOS Connect API for integrating mainframe applications with modern web and mobile applications.
+ Develop applications using Java, enhancing functionality and interoperability in mainframe environments and Manage source code and version control using GIT, facilitating collaborative development and code management.
