    Job Summary

    As the Test Automation Manager within the Credit Card Line of Business, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop a team of talented automation testers. You will promote the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of our Test Automation Strategy, aligning testing initiatives with business objectives and technology strategy. This role offers a chance to collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration of testing processes and enhancing testing efficiency and effectiveness.

    Job Responsibilities

    + **Leadership & Team Management**

    + Lead, mentor, and develop a team of automation testers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

    + Provide regular coaching, feedback, and career development guidance to direct reports.

    + Oversee resource allocation, capacity planning, and performance management for the automation team.

    + **Strategic Planning & Execution**

    + Define and drive the overall test automation strategy and roadmap

    + Align testing initiatives with business objectives and technology strategy.

    + **Process Improvement & Innovation**

    + Champion process improvement initiatives, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.

    + Drive adoption of new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

    + **Operational Responsibilities**

    + Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases to validate user acceptance criteria for new and existing features.

    + Provide estimates for user stories utilizing planning poker.

    + Participate in product backlog prioritization, story mapping, story refinement, and Sprint demos.

    + Prepare and participate in sprint review meetings showcasing completed product backlog items to the product owner.

    + Assist in manual UAT efforts when automation is not feasible, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.

    Required Qualifications

    + 5 years of experience in a leadership role within technology or testing teams.

    + 5 years of experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.

    + Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks, specifically in Selenium and Cucumber.

    + Deep understanding of web applications including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

    + Working knowledge of Java, Python, and programming.

    + 5 years of experience with open-source test automation tools.

    + 5 years of experience in applying Business Driven Development techniques (JUnit, Fitnesse, Selenium, Cucumber, or similar tools).

    + 5 years of experience in Continuous Integration and Deployment practices and tools (Jenkins or equivalent, Maven, Git, developer efficiency tools).

    + 5 years of experience working in Agile teams, with the ability to focus and grasp business concepts explained during PBRs and create test strategy and test scenarios.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.

    + 3 years of experience working on Unix.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Bachelor's or Master's Degree - preferably in Computer Science or related field.

    + Deep understanding of financial services, especially credit card products, regulatory requirements, and risk management.

    + 8 years of experience in application testing and monitoring frameworks - JMeter, AppDynamics, Geneos, Fitnesse, PhantomJS, etc.

    + 8 years of experience in a leadership role within technology or testing teams.

    + 8 years of experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.

    + 8 years of experience in applying Business Driven Development techniques (JUnit, Fitnesse, Selenium, Cucumber, or similar tools).

    + 8 years of experience in Continuous Integration and Deployment practices and tools (Jenkins or equivalent, Maven, Git, developer efficiency tools).

    Base Pay/Salary

     

    $104,500 - $170,000 / year
