Position Overview:
Wolters Kluwer’s DXG division is looking for a highly experienced Senior Product Software Engineer to play a key role in the development of a core platform supporting our Health division. This role reports into the Director of Product Software Engineering for the Lippincott Nursing Solutions platform and will work closely with BAs, QAs, and other engineers.
The Senior Product software Engineer is a senior level position responsible for developing high quality solutions as well as being available to assist other developers. A deep technical understanding of web development technologies is crucial and needed for this position.
Responsibilities:
+ Design, develop, test, and debug implementations of complex software solutionsinJava or NodeJS.
+ Assistwith code review for other developers.
+ Being able to navigatethrough thevarious steps of theSDLC including but not limited to:Coding,Unit testing,Dev testing,Workingcloselywith QA partners,Coverage/assistanceduring UAT,Productionsupport/debugging issues
+ Analyzing, planning, and estimating simple to complex development tasks.
+ Ability to take ownershipforabusinessfeature from its technical design,through development,andoverallimplementation into theplatform.
+ Plan, prioritize, and effectively complete tasksin order tomeet critical project deadlines.
Qualifications** **:
+ Bachelor’s degreein Computer Scienceor related field.
+ 6 or more years of relevant development experience.
+ 5or more years of industry experience developing web-based applications usingJava, .NET, or NodeJS.
+ Strong experience in cloud native application development (AWS). Hands on experience with Docker.
+ Expert knowledge of modern technologies and software development patterns.
+ Experience ofworking with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deliveryand DevOps.
+ Understanding ofintegration/communication between multiple systems/applications.
+ Thorough understanding of GitSource control.
+ Strong experience with SQL(preferably AWS Aurora).
+ Working knowledge of building and consumingthird-partyAPIs.
+ Strong analytical thinking, writing,andexcellentcommunication skillsa must.
+ Ability to properly document technical specifications.
+ Must have full understanding of the SDLC and itsvariousstages.
+ Must have knowledge of agile development and practices.
+ Experience with Jira preferredbut notrequired.
+ Experience with Bitbucket preferredbut notrequired.
+ Experience with development of single page applications(Angular)preferred but notrequired.
