    Description

Our healthcare customer is looking for someone who has worked in BI data science. Over the past 3 years our client has built a robust Power BI engine for data consolidation, visualization, and reporting, and is now exploring Ai functions. The position is less about typical Power BI visualizations and more about integrating AI with BI data, focusing on data science, search, match algorithms, and statistical analysis.

Detail orientation is crucial for ensuring data quality and integrity during transformations between systems (e.g., warehouse to graph database) to prevent "garbage" data.

Our customer aims to use machine to analyze historical data, identify patterns, and generate actionable, micro-level insights (e.g., churn rates, premium positions) for reports.

Like a lot of companies they are bridging the gap between data, Ai and reporting.

    Job Description:

This person will help drive strategic insights through advanced modeling, cloud-native-data architecture and scalable reporting solutions. They aren’t a lead or a manager, but they are key in helping in these areas. The Business Intelligence Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to operationalize data products that support enterprise-wide decision-making.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Implementation of end-to-end data solutions, including ingestion, transformation, modeling, and visualization across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Power BI.

    • Maintain Lakehouse environments using OneLake, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks to support scalable analytics and machine learning workflows.

    • Develop and deploy predictive models, classification systems, and recommendation engines

    • Build and optimize ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Spark, and Delta Lake within Fabric environments.

    • Automate complex reporting workflows using Python, SQL, Power Query, and Fabric Pipelines.

    • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of best practices in BI, data science, and cloud analytics.

    • Monitor performance of BI systems and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.

    • Provide thought leadership in the adoption of AI/ML, real-time analytics, and data-as-a-product principles.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.

    • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data science, or data engineering roles.

    • Expert-level proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI.

    • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Activator, Notebooks, and Real-Time Analytics.

    • Strong understanding of cloud data architecture, ETL design, and data modeling in Azure environments.

    • Experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI frameworks.

    • Familiarity with DevOps for data, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment automation.

    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
