Description
This position is for a Technical IT Business Analyst IV on the Store Data Administration team. They will be the technical lead for the team. The solution is made up of web-based applications and API-based services that will help drive the company's worldwide innovation in the years to come. The Business Analyst is proficient in both the business and technical aspects of the platform and is responsible for creating and maintaining complex data that define the underlying operational data for the platform. The Business Analyst must be extremely detail oriented.
• Understand the applications and services. Collaborate with solution architects and business analysts to understand how solution requirements translate into data requirements.
• Create and maintain the underlying operational data for platform.
• Perform acceptance testing of features as development is complete. Help diagnose data issues, engaging with applications and service SMEs as needed.
• Analyze legacy store system configurations and data (products, coupons, pricing, reports, etc.) and collaborate on migration approaches and tools.
• Analyze the platform's configurations and data and collaborate on data administration approaches and tools.
• Analyze and document data processes and procedures, and innovate to provide improvements and scalability (processes, scripts, etc.).
• Create/maintain scripts (typically bash and/or python) used by the team.
• Work with the Technical Delivery Manager to establish ticket priorities and assignments.
• Manage seed-data releases.
• Understand the technical implications of a solution and how it affects seed-data. Be able to communicate this to the team and keep work aligned with the vision of the solution.
• Responsible for ensuring project related documentation is complete
• Provides leadership for production issues
• Participate in RCAs
• Participate as needed on incident calls
• Frequent interaction with architecture to understand and promote technical direction to the team.
• Takes a lead role in overall estimations for seed-data work
• Field conceptual and technical questions from team members
• Go to person on a project when others need support
• Lead reviewer on PRs – ensures all changes are reviewed within the team
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• 7+ years of applicable IT experience working on a large application initiative
• Technical leadership experience.
• Adept at working with JSON files.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and oral. Adept at engaging equally in business-level discussions with stakeholders and technical discussions with peers.
• Ability to comprehend complex technical concepts and disseminate them both verbally and in writing.
• Must have the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to troubleshoot and manage problems independently.
• Working knowledge of one or more programming languages. C# experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Working knowledge of one or more scripting languages. Bash scripting experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of RESTful API concepts and OpenAPI.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $60.00/hr.
