    Description

    Atlantic Cape Community College seeks qualified adjunct instructors to deliver high-quality instruction at our three full-service campuses. If you are qualified to teach at Atlantic Cape, your materials will be maintained in a pool of qualified candidates. As teaching opportunities arise throughout the academic year, you may be contacted by the College for an interview.

     

    Compensation: $780 per contact hour

    Examples of Duties

    + Provide instruction on Air Traffic Control topics and procedures using a Tower Simulation System

    + Ensure compliance with FAA procedures related to Air Traffic - College Training Initiative (AT-CTI) requirements

    + Mentor students in the FAA ATC application process

    Typical Qualifications

    + Minimum requirements

    + Four years experience in an Air Traffic Control tower or Radar Approach Control

    + Basic computer skills

    + FAA issued Certified Professional Controller certificate

    + Experience with Adacel TSS preferred

    + You may also wish to express an interest in teaching Continuing Education courses and seminars.

     

    Tuition Waiver - adjuncts may enroll for one credit course, tuition-free, during any semester they are teaching.

     

    Paid sick leave in accordance with the NJ Paid Sick Leave Law

     

    ABP (Alternate Benefit Program (https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/pensions/pension-active-abp.shtml) is a defined contribution retirement program for adjuncts. Adjuncts contribute 5% of base salary and the college contributes 8% of base salary. There are seven State-authorized ABP investment carriers. Life insurance benefits through ABP are payable to the beneficiary at 3.5X the member's salary.
