Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Winthrop , MA who is currently seeking a School Aide to work with students on a contractual basis.

Details of the Position Include:

+ Pay Rate: $27.00/hour

+ Start Date: ASAP

+ Duration: '25 - '26 School Year

+ Schedule: Monday– Friday, 7:50 AM - 2:30 PM

+ Requirements:

+ Autism experience required

+ School-based experience

+ ABA experience preferred

+ Description:

+ Special education school aide. ABA experience preferred but not required. As advised by teacher, assist students individually and in groups with social, behavioral and education needs.

+ Perform instructional and non-instructional duties in a self-contained, resource room, or regular education classroom.

+ Performs all duties associated with meeting the global needs of the children. Including but not limited to: assisting school nurses wit h diaper changing and toileting, related hygiene needs, and transporting non-ambulatory students in wheelchairs within the school building and outside the school building,

+ assisting students during recess and other school related out of building activities and to and from transportation vehicles

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.

Minimum Requirements:

+ High School diploma or equivalent required

+ Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
