We’re looking for anAccounting Specialist 1/2/Techwithin the Financial Services section at DPS-OMF.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience or training in accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, or financial operations or computations.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
• Prepares and assists with balancing the monthly Office of Motor Vehicle Escrow Disbursements.
• Assists in the classification of revenues to include balancing and reconciling assigned Department of Public Safety accounts.
• Administers accounts receivable database to include entering, processing, billing, daily balancing, and monthly reconciliation of the subsidiary accounts receivable system
• Reviews and processes records of financial transactions, including invoices and/or deposit information relative to collections, refunds, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Career Progression:This position may be filled at the Accounting Specialist 1/2/Technician, depending on the selected applicant's experience.
Loc ation :This vacancy is located in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Work Schedule:Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The bi-weekly rates for each title are as follows:

+ Accounting Specialist 2(AS610) -$1,178.40
+ Accounting Technician(AS612) -$1,348.80
