    About the Opportunity

     

    Turner Staffing Group is hiring an Onsite Lab Technician to support metallurgical and geotechnical testwork for a mining client near Dragoon, Arizona. This project-based role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on technical work, lab environments, and contributing directly to operational improvements in mining.

     

    A secondary work location in Tucson may also occasionally require support.

     

    This is a great opportunity to build skills in metallurgical testing, heap leach operations, and pilot-scale equipment.

     

    What You'll Do

     

    + Set up and operate pilot-scale equipment, including an agglomeration drum

    + Perform column-scale and bench-scale testwork

    + Run laboratory-scale crushers, screens, and conveying equipment

    + Take routine measurements (pH, Eh) and perform titrations

    + Collect samples from field locations, including plant solutions and instrumentation

    + Maintain a clean, organized, safety-forward workspace

    + Enter, analyze, and present results using Microsoft Excel

    + Follow detailed procedures, SOPs, and safety protocols

     

    What We're Looking For

     

    + Some technical experience or education in a STEM field

    + Strong commitment to safety and following established procedures

    + Ability to work independently with a scientific, problem-solving mindset

    + Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

    + Previous lab or pilot-scale experience is helpful (we will train on specific methods)

    + Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

     

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

    Assignment Length: 12 months with potential extension

    Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. No visa sponsorship or relocation available.
