Overview
Altorfer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Architect to drive the successful implementation, optimization, and support of our Dynamics 365 platform across Finance, Supply Chain, CRM, and Operations. This role will serve as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that Dynamics 365 solutions align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value
Basic Duties
ERP System Governance & AlignmentEnsure the Dynamics 365 (D365 F&O and C&E) environment is configured and maintained to support Altorfer’s strategic business goals, ensuring system stability, scalability, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
Configuration, Maintenance & EnhancementBe a part of a team to coordinate functional configuration of D365 F&O modules, including setup of parameters, workflows, security roles, and business rules. Manage system updates, hotfixes, and feature rollouts in coordination with Microsoft’s release cadence.
Integration Oversight & SupportDesign and support integrations between D365 , Caterpillar solutions, D365 Add-ins and other enterprise platforms (e.g., CRM, HRIS, data warehouse), ensuring data integrity, performance, and compliance with business processes.
Issue Management & Root Cause AnalysisServe as the escalation point for complex functional and technical issues. Conduct root cause analysis, coordinate with Microsoft support when needed, and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
Performance Monitoring & OptimizationMonitor system performance, usage patterns, and transaction volumes. Recommend and implement optimizations to improve system responsiveness, reliability, and user experience.
Security & Access ControlAdminister user roles, permissions, and security configurations within D365 F&O and CE. Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements, including segregation of duties and data protection policies.
Functional Documentation & Change ControlEnsure detailed documentation for all configurations, customizations, integrations, and workflows. Ensure all changes follow established change management protocols and they are properly versioned and auditable.
Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements GatheringCollaborate with business units to understand operational needs and translate them into technical and functional system requirements. Provide guidance on best practices and system capabilities to support informed decision-making.
Training & Knowledge TransferDevelop and deliver training materials and sessions for support staff. Promote solution knowledge sharing across teams to build internal expertise and reduce reliance on external support.
Continuous Improvement & InnovationStay informed on new features, licensing changes, and roadmap updates from Microsoft. Evaluate and recommend enhancements that improve business value, system usability, and administrative efficiency.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience Desired:
Technical Expertise
Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure platforms.
Experience with Lifecycle Services (LCS) and environment management.
Problem-Solving Skills
Ability to identify, track, and resolve issues using LCS tools.
Strong analytical skills to find effective solutions and prevent delays.
Collaboration and Communication
Excellent communication skills to work with various stakeholders, including XAPT and Microsoft teams.
Ability to manage user access and permissions efficiently.
Project Management
Experience in project setup and management, including defining methodologies and tracking tasks.
Ability to monitor progress and update project milestones.
Driver's License
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
This position will primarily work in an office environment, May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Must be able to walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs. Some travel is required.
