    The CDA Sr Manager of Structures for Growth Engines will lead a team of highly motivated engineering professionals responsible for the analytical design, validation, development, production, and field support for static structure components for all Growth Engines product lines (HTF-NG, T55-714C). Responsibilities include the development of the next generation Engines products. Conceiving new and innovative concepts to improve structural integrity and durability of engine structure, mounting, rotating to static clearances, frames and cases. Driving continuous improvement, process and tool improvements, Criteria, Guidelines and Practices for commonality of analysis approaches through lessons learned, best practices, innovative thinking and comparative benchmarking to achieve state-of-the-art technology that will be integral in securing present and future business by consistently meeting or exceeding customer requirements. Responsibilities include managing a cross functional team at multiple sites. Technical disciplines include stress, vibration, deflection, low cycle and high cycle fatigue life, containment and thermal analyses. Responsible for understanding and complying with all regulatory / certification / qualification activities associated with approving hardware for use in propulsion engines.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Provide functional management and technical guidance to the team to meet schedule and budget commitments for all programs.

    + Ensures appropriate resource deployment and execution rigor.

    + Help develop and guide strategic plans to improve technology and methodologies.

    + Development of compelling vision to enhance productivity to improve throughput.

    + Employee engagement including talent management and development.

    + Department Operations and improvement initiatives.

    + Drive engineering teams to effectively solve complex engineering problems.

    + Partner with other engineering teams to ensure the resources and skills needed to drive business growth.

    + Coordinate efforts of global engineers and the Global Strategic Framework.

    + Export compliance management through Authorization Ownership of export licenses

    YOU MUST HAVE

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics

    + 10+ years of experience in component design, test and analysis.

    WE VALUE

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

    + Masters or PhD degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

    + Extensive skill and knowledge of the design and manufacture of gas turbines.

    + Solid knowledge of turbine engines and design technologies

    + Ability to prioritize and adjust to constantly changing assignment requests.

    + Demonstrated leadership experience in coordinating early career to senior level professionals.

    + Proven track record of leading teams to successful project delivery.

    + Track record of improving team performance and work practice through team coaching.

    + Competence to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.

    + Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness, even in the face of complexity.

    + Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
