Are you a transformational HR leader ready to guide teams through enterprise-wide change? Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Senior Director, HR Systems and Shared Services to lead and inspire HR Shared Services teams as we modernize every aspect of our HR operations through a major UKG implementation.
*Your Impact*
As a Senior Director, you will play a critical role in driving the HR systems strategy and digital transformation of our enterprise HR technology platform. Although you will not lead the UKG implementation itself, this key leader will oversee the current HR technology landscape and lead the teams through a successful implementation of UKG for the HR Shared Services, Workforce Management (UKG Pro WFM), Payroll and Core HR Systems (HRMS), ensuring automation, scalability, operational excellence, compliance, and an exceptional employee experience and thriving, inclusive culture.
You will partner with IT in creating the long-term digital roadmap for HR and driving modernization and automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and insights across all HR processes. You’ll also help define the operating model, drive digital transformation, and oversee a high-performing team accountable for both day-to-day excellence and long-term strategic enablement.
Reporting to the Vice President, Compensation, Benefits & Shared Services, you’ll be a key HR leader and will partner with senior business leaders, IT, and HR leaders to align technology, process, and people strategies — enabling Weyerhaeuser to deliver consistent, high-quality HR services to more than 9,000 employees across all distribution and manufacturing sites, field operations locations and corporate functions in the U.S. and Canada.
This full time position is based out of our Seattle, WA headquarters on a hybrid schedule in office Tue-Thur with the ability to work remote Monday and Friday.
*What You’ll Do*
*Strategic Leadership*
* Lead and oversee the enterprise HR systems and Shared Services strategy, aligning technology, streamlined processes, and best-in-class service delivery models while optimizing workforce needs and delivering business results.
* Successfully partner with IT to define a forward-looking HR technology roadmap that anticipates business needs and identifies opportunities for labor optimization, system modernization, and process automation.
* Lead successful planning and execution of HR technology and service transformation initiatives, including UKG Pro WFM, HRMS optimization, and payroll modernization.
* Define and lead the governance framework for HR systems
* Establish and track KPIs and success metrics for service delivery, automation, and system performance to ensure measurable business value.
* Demonstrates outstanding advisory and facilitation skills, while embedding equity, inclusion, and employee well-being into all systems and service designs.
*Operational & Technical Excellence*
* Oversee HR Shared Services operations, including HR case management, employee support, and transaction processing — ensuring timely, accurate, and customer-focused service delivery.
* Provide executive oversight for payroll operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement of processes and technologies.
* Champion Workforce Management (WFM) transformation ensuring compliance and accuracy while advancing automation and process innovation for all WFM functions including Timekeeping, Scheduling, Absence, Attestation, Pay Rules, Forecasting, and Analytics.
* Direct the management and evolution of core HR systems (HRMS) and related integrations, ensuring system integrity, scalability, and data governance.
* Drive data-informed decision-making through HR analytics, dashboards, and insights that guide workforce planning/labor forecasting, productivity, and organizational health.
*Transformation & Innovation*
* Champion digital HR transformation and continuous improvement, leveraging automation, self-service, and analytics to modernize how HR services are delivered.
* Evaluate and anticipate emerging technologies and service models (AI, chatbots, predictive analytics, intelligent workflows) to continuously enhance employee and manager experiences.
* Cultivate strategic partnerships with UKG, system vendors, and implementation partners to ensure continuous innovation and strong vendor performance.

* Lead and empower teams through significant change,fostering a culture of engagement, resiliance, accountability, collaboration, trust, inclusion and continuous improvement aligned with our organization’s values and long-term strategy.
* Lead and develop a diverse, high-performing team of leaders and professionals across HR technology, WFM, payroll, and Shared Services.
* Build leadership capability within the function, empowering team members through mentorship, accountability, and opportunities to lead enterprise initiatives.
* Partner with HR Leadership and business leaders to anticipate capability needs and deliver solutions that scale with business growth.
* Effectively manage vendor partnerships and influences enterprise success through strategic teamwork.
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field. MBA preferred.
* 12 years of progressive experience in HR technology, Shared Services, or payroll operations, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
* Proven success effectively leading and implementing highly complex large-scale HCM solutions (UKG Pro, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or equivalent) and Shared Services model design.
* Deep expertise in Workforce Management platforms (preferably UKG Pro WFM) and payroll administration for complex, multi-state or multi-country environments.
* Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive operational efficiency, enhance the employee experience, and support company-wide transformation.
* Experience leveraging advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex, ambiguous issues into effective technology solutions.
* Strong executive presence with a passion for delivering clear, impactful presentations to all audiences, including executive leaders.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Experience in manufacturing, forestry, or other high-volume, hourly workforce industries.
* UKG Pro WFM or HRMS certification(s); PMP or Agile certification preferred.
* Background in AI-enabled HR technology, robotic process automation, or advanced workforce analytics.

*What We Offer:*
*Compensation:*This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $191,900 to $291,800 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 35% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target. This position is also eligible for participation in our Long Term Incentive Plan.

*Paid Time Off or Vacation: We*provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
