Position Overview
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a single BELFOR office. This role involves significant independent decision-making regarding daily workflow, staffing, and office procedures. The Operations Manager holds a strong influence on hiring, firing, and employee discipline and may make substantial operational decisions without consulting the General Manager. This position focuses purely on operational execution and does not involve strategic planning or handling office financials [based on user input]
Key Responsibilities
+ **Office Operations Management:** Directly manage all daily operational activities within the assigned BELFOR office to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to company standards.
+ **Staffing and Personnel Decisions:** Strongly influence and participate in the hiring and termination process for office staff.
+ **Employee Relations and Discipline:** Administer and manage disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans for employees, making substantial decisions regarding staff conduct and performance.
+ **Independent Decision Making:** Make autonomous decisions concerning daily scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow processes without requiring General Manager approval for routine matters.
+ **Process Improvement:** Identify and implement improvements to local operational processes to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
+ **Compliance and Safety:** Ensure the office and field teams adhere to all BELFOR operational policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
+ **General Manager Consultation:** Escalate strategic decisions, high-level financial matters, and issues outside the scope of daily operations to the General Manager.
+ Other projects and duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications
+ Proven experience managing the day-to-day operations of an office or business unit.
+ Demonstrated experience with direct employee management, including strong involvement in hiring, discipline, and performance evaluation.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
+ Strong knowledge of operational workflow and process optimization.
+ Ability to work independently and exercise substantial, independent judgment.
Physical Requirements
+ [Primarily a blend of office and field work.
+ Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
+ Occasional travel to job sites or meetings may be required.
