UPMC Community Osteopathic is hiring a full-time Central Sterile Processing Supervisor for the evening shift (2:30 PM-11 PM). In this leadership role, you'll oversee a team and manage all daily sterile processing operations, including instrument decontamination, assembly, sterilization, case picking, and equipment cleaning. You'll ensure safe, efficient workflows and serve as a key resource for staff and clinical teams.

Responsibilities:
+ Communicates clearly in writing and verbally, with thorough documentation that supports teamwork and patient care.
+ Applies strong critical-thinking skills to address clinical, safety, and patient-support needs.
+ Incorporates organizational and national standards to enhance safety, quality, and patient experience.
+ Builds positive, compassionate relationships and shares new knowledge through presentations and education.
+ Uses performance-improvement tools to integrate best practices, reduce instrument errors, and improve turnaround times.

+ Leads and develops the sterile processing team, ensuring accurate instrument processing, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.
+ High School Graduate or equivalent.
+ 3 years' experience in central sterile processing.
+ 2 years supervisory or team leader experience required.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with peers, physicians, staff of other hospital departments, and outside contacts.
+ Must complete 10 hours of continuing education to remain qualified as a Central Sterile Technician on an annual basis.
+ Must be able to stand for all shift hours and be able to pick up, push, pull etc. 35 pounds. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution OR Certified Registered Central Service Technician with Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
