Join our team as a Patient and Family Concierge!
The Patient and Family Concierge plays a vital role in supporting the 5A Oncology Unit by enhancing the patient and family experience through non-clinical assistance. This position helps ensure that clinical staff can focus on direct care while patients and visitors receive timely, compassionate service. The role is scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week, with shifts running from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Coverage is required on Sundays through Saturdays, on a variable schedule to meet unit needs.
Responsibilities:
+ Greet, escort, and assist patients and visitors with directions and hospital information.
+ Support patient comfort by delivering meals, water, and supplies per dietary orders.
+ Transport patients, equipment, and specimens safely within the facility.
+ Maintain clean and organized patient rooms and common areas; restock supplies.
+ Answer phones, respond to call lights, and assist with non-clinical needs.
+ Monitor inventory, expiration dates, and temperature logs; set up telehealth carts.
+ Report maintenance issues and follow safety protocols.
+ *Performs in accordance with all other system-wide competencies/behaviors.*Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Must have the desire, drive, and compassion needed to provide an exceptional patient and family experience at all times.
+ High School diploma OR active High School/GED program enrollment OR one year of previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED.
+ Previous experience in health care or customer service is a plus, but not required.
