    Job Description

    A large telecom customer’s Mobility Core and Services organization is embarking on a transformative database infrastructure journey for CORE Network space. We are seeking a Database Infrastructure Architect who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future state of our database ecosystem. This individual contributor will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, bridging technical expertise with strategic vision, and ensuring our infrastructure aligns with industry trends and organizational goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Leadership Interface: Communicate complex database infrastructure concepts to high-level leadership, filling knowledge gaps and guiding decision-making.

    • Future-State Architecture: Define and design the long-term database infrastructure roadmap, ensuring scalability, resilience, and alignment with migrations to Azure.

    • Industry Trend Analysis: Monitor and interpret emerging database technologies, cloud-native practices, and industry standards to inform strategy.

    • Azure Migration Support: Lead design and development efforts for the migration of CORE Network databases to Microsoft Azure, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.

    • Design & Development: Architect solutions that balance performance, security, and cost efficiency while supporting mobility services.

    • Knowledge Enablement: Act as a subject matter expert, educating leadership and technical teams on database infrastructure best practices and future-state vision.

    Skills and Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of database infrastructure, cloud-native architectures, and large-scale enterprise systems.

    • Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Azure(Or other CSP) database services (SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake, etc.).

    • Communication Skills: Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, strategic insights for executive leadership.

    • Industry Awareness: Strong understanding of database industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes.

    • Architectural Experience: Proven track record in designing and implementing future-state database architectures in large organizations.
